“Washington Virtual Academies is a free online school. I began attending it just before the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has been a great school for me. There are a few class meetings per week, and the assignments do take time, but overall, … I put in a lot less time here than in any in-person school. For me, this is great because I always felt that I was wasting a lot of time doing nothing at in-person schools. It’s great because there are recordings of every class, and you can access assignments and class materials at any time, allowing you to go at your own pace. WAVA also has a very wide variety of available classes, some of which offer certificates like a food handler’s card.”
